From the desk
of the founder and co-ordinator of blocks of life
foundation.
My name is
pastor Koffi Mensa.i am a missionary in Ghana.i am the presiding
co-ordinator of a non-governmental organisation called
blocks of life foundation.
“our
fundamental objective is to save and care for the souls of many
dying children and make them relevant to their own
world”
We basically
go to villages, suburbs to search out children that have been
abused, that are sick-suffering from different kinds of
diseases,children that are traumatised and the less privileged.we
administertreatments to the ones that are ill, we also feed them,
cloth them, house them and educate them.
The number of
children dying within this part of the west coast is very
alarming.these are children who would hold the future of our
societies.children who would be movers and shakers of our
societies.would we watch them die because there is poverty in
Africa?
I weep when I
hear of children die of diseases that can easily be controlled and
cured through minor or major treatments.our government are not
doing at all.no aids for children.
It is on this
facts that my wife and I have taken it as a point to rescue these
children by showing them love, care and educate them in our little
way.this is a great task and a challenge that requires your support
to help these children live, regain and sustain their lost
future.
Now, there is
a place we use as a base from where we operate from.a temporary
site where we were using to take care of these children was
destroyed by the heavy flood that stormed the area in Ghana
recently.
This flood
rendered us and the children homeless and helpless.the flood
destroyed all we had at the temporary site.so we have resolved to
take back some of these children to where we picked them-where they
used to get abused,traumatised,ill, no good care and no formal
education.at the moment,we are left with some children who don’t
have anyone to father them.they are orphans.we bear their feeding
responsibility.
In final
analysis,we cannot change the situation on board because it is
beyond our financial strength.so we therefore plead for your
financial support to assist in erecting a new base for the children
so that their future would be sustained.
The new base
for the children will seat the following facilities for over
100children listed below:
the estimated
cost for this project is USD100,000.(one hundred thousand
dollars.)
